In reading my daily dose of “Oddly Enough” news, I ran across an article regarding divorce ceremonies. It appears that in Japan, couples celebrate divorce much like a marriage with the “I Do’s” in the presence of friends and family. After the vows, the couple smash the wedding rings with a mallet to officially finalize the divorce.

We don’t judge anyone who is heading down the road for divorce, but if it’s going to happen, this seems like a good idea to us, oddly enough! The only problem we have is the ring ceremony… why smash ‘em when you can sell them on eBay?
